Hello!
We value the contributions our WWOOFers bring to our homestead and meadery, and we aim to offer an enriching experience in return. Please take your time reading through this description, and if it feels like a good fit, we’d love to hear from you!
About the Land & What We Do:
Nestled in the rolling hills of southern Indiana, our homestead spans 24 acres, most of it forested.
Animals – Bees 10 to 20 hives, goats & sheep out in the pasture, chickens & ducks in the back yard, three cats, and three wonderful friendly dogs (Honey Bear 60lb Lab mix, Astro 45lb Australian Shepard, Nookhyms a 60lb coon hound)
Plants – A 70 foot long high-tunnel greenhouse for vegetable production, a geodesic dome flower and herb garden for meditation and yoga, a small orchard of fruit and nut trees, and some patches of cultivated mushrooms
Fun Features – A big swimming pond, fire pits, flower dome, music room with a piano, wood stoves, hiking trails, slack line, trampoline, and star-gazing.
In 2022, we became a licensed winery, specializing in honey wine (mead). We sell our mead at farmers’ markets and festivals around Bloomington and across Indiana, making it a significant part of our work and lifestyle. WWOOFers will have the opportunity to help with various aspects of the meadery, including bottling, labeling, and preparing for events. Those interested may also assist with vending at weekend festivals and markets.
About the People:
Our homestead is currently run by a small, passionate team:
Aaron – Owner of the farm and co-founder of the meadery. While his primary focus is on running the meadery, he'll still be involved in guiding projects around the homestead.
Steve – Aaron's father and the original owner of the land. He’s a bird-lover, musician, and all-around handy-man.
Eliza (AKA Abi)– Originally came here as a WWOOFer, fell in love with the farm and now has been a member for about 7 years, She helps with homestead projects, gardening, and keeps the community vibe strong.
Jason – Co-founder of the meadery. Jason is deeply involved in production and market operations, making sure everything runs smoothly.
Seanna – Aaron's girlfriend, she's a great cook and a really generous wise wholesome lady.
Reed - A sweet fella who also started out as a Wwoofer and now is a regular here, he's a handy carpenter
Our farmhouse is a lively space with a strong community of friends who frequently visit to lend a hand, take a swim, or gather around the fire for music. We strive to create an open, welcoming environment where everyone feels at home.
We’re looking for hard-working, curious, and kind individuals who want to learn about homesteading, permaculture, and the ins and outs of running a small farm-based meadery. We ask our Wwoofers to contribute 20 hours a week to some of the following projects. You'll be given a list of priority tasks as well as options for what you would most like to work on.

Greenhouse & Garden Maintenance – Weeding, planting, harvesting, and general upkeep.
