Vermont
Float on the pond to cool off after a day in the garden
We've been fighting invasives and planting natives. Doing nature's work. We love getting our hands . Nothing like growing food from scratch.

Come and stay on our beautiful regenerative farm in rural Vermont!. We have a thriving vegetable garden, highly productive orchard, blueberry plants, 3 goats, 25 chickens, 20 guinea fowl, bunnies, barn cats and three majestic peacocks! We are just 10 minutes from the bustling town of Brattleboro (which has an active art and music scene) and 30 minutes from Greenfield, MA. We need your help with: - Fruit & vegetable gardening (planting, weeding, trellising, harvesting, watering, canning) - Orchard maintenance: pruning and staking trees (apples, peaches, plums, elderberries) - Caring for the animals: feeding chickens/goats, cleaning coops, general livestock care - General property maintenance: Mowing, weedwacking, clearing and mulching around trees - Removing invasives and propagating native plants - Preparing the weekly donation to the food pantry There’s always a new project and we welcome your skills and ideas! We donate weekly to the local food pantry. What We Offer In Return for Your Help: - Free internet access - Accommodation in a brand-new very comfortable house, with a full kitchen - Each Wwoofer has a well-furnished, private room (It doesn’t get more bougie than this on a farm!) - Full access to the kitchen and we provide food for all meals (we mostly cook delicious together) We love getting to know our Wwoofers and helping them on their journey towards a more sustainable future. We work hard building community and strong bonds with our Wwoofers. As a former Wwoofer I understand the importance of making guests feel comfortable in my home. We expect our Wwoofers to work five days a week for 4-5 hours. You are expected to keep your living quarters super clean. We don’t accept pets. Couples are welcome. We prefer Wwoofers to come for a minimum of one week.

I couldn’t have asked for a better first WWOOFing experience. This place straight out of a storybook. From the moment I arrived and throughout the short week of my stay, I was constantly in awe of my surroundings. Sharon, the host and owner, was kind, welcoming, and a joy to spend time with. When we weren’t working, she took us on hikes, to local community events, and even out to eat at a great local restaurant. As far as work, Sharon was very flexible and allowed us to keep track of our own hours. I had the opportunity to work on a range of tasks including thinning peach trees, harvesting and weeding blueberry bushes, and cleaning out the barn — I really appreciated this variety for my first farm experience. The other tenants who live in the apartments across the pond also made the week special and memorable. I was lucky enough to arrive and meet all of the friendly residents during a group barbecue on my first day. A big highlight was the most adorable little boys running around the farm and helping with small tasks here and there :) I feel very lucky to have found this place, it is truly a beautiful place with a wonderful owner in a special community. I hope to return someday.

I had an amazing first WWOOF experience staying with Sharon on her beautiful regenerative farm in Vermont. In just one week I was exposed to so many different aspects of the property and learned far more than I expected. During my stay I helped propagate a variety of willows, dogwood, and elderflower, planted over 30 white cedar and pine trees, aerated and weeded the garden to prepare it for planting, and spent a day helping care for the animals. One of the highlights of the week was when a professional pruner came to the property to teach about pruning apple, plum, and peach trees. I learned so much just from being there and asking questions. Sharon was an incredibly welcoming and thoughtful host and made me feel very comfortable in her home from the beginning. The accommodations were wonderful, the property is beautiful, and it was clear how much care goes into both the land and the WWOOFer experience. Food is A+. I also loved being close to Brattleboro, which is such a fun and charming town, and of course the Vermont maple syrup lived up to the hype. I’m very grateful for the experience and would absolutely recommend this farm to anyone looking to learn, work hard, and spend time in a genuinely warm and community-oriented environment. I hope to go back soon!

My stay here was delightful. The property is a lovely retreat, the animals cute, and Sharon is a very hospitable and thoughtful host in addition to being an excellent cook, and well-connected to her community. I was able to do work that suited my abilities and interests, and it was a pleasure to help Sharon prepare permanent winter quarters for all her beautiful birds and other critters. Make sure you say hello to Ruby the goat and all her friends for me if you visit.

I had a wonderful time at Sharon's homestead, she made sure I felt at home right away. The rooms available for wwoofers are georgeous and comfortably furnished, and I had a space that felt like my own during my stay. Sharon has some tenets on site, and a busy calendar of friends visiting. I always felt included, and she treated me to some nearby Brattleboro restaurants and events. Food-wise, everything was supplied and we did a combination of taking turns making meals and sometimes doing our own thing (largely because I'm a vegetarian, which was happily accommodated). The work was varied and felt collaborative. I have some gardening experience so I was able to work pretty independently in a lot of things, but I also got to learn a lot of new stuff and ask questions, particularly about the animals (goats, chickens, guinea hens, peacocks, and ducks). Her dog Muppet is an absolute sweetheart and I fell in love. I really enjoyed my stay and would absolutely reccomend Sharon to anyone who wants to unplug and jump into the homestead life for a while.

This was my first time wwoofing, and overall I had a great experience! I was originally going to stay only 2 weeks, but ended up extending my stay for 4 weeks– I really appreciated Sharon's flexibility and openness! Even though I stayed towards the end of the season, the farm tasks were always varied and manageable. Sharon and I often cooked meals together and worked together, by the end of my experience I felt very immersed into her community. Would totally recommend this farm, the surrounding area is also beautiful :)

The farm is a fantastic place to visit - for many reasons! Sharon is an excellent host and makes you feel welcome from day 1. Sharon is great to work on the farm with and has a very laissez-faire approach to managing her Wwoofers - which suits the way I like to work! Work would involve planting & harvesting crops, maintaining the wide variety of crops being grown on the farm, managing the animals, pruning the orchard and various other landscaping tasks. We also saw baby chicks hatch in an incubator and nursed them into adulthood which was great! Minimum hours of work on the farm are 5 hours per day, but I would often end up doing more than that just because it's a great place to be and work! Sharon's home is comfortable and she is an outstanding cook, mealtimes would often be collaborative and I learned a few great recipes while staying there! At the end of the day we'd often hang out together on the farm or visit local towns or lakes - as well as spend time with other people who live on the property. Sharon was great for showing us places near by and giving us ideas/ recommendations on things we could do or places we should visit. The local area is beautiful and Brattleboro has a cool cinema, and great thrift stores, farmers markets and coffee shops. Thank you Sharon for an amazing time!
