Our lavender farm consists of about 2500 lavender plants with 7 different varieties. Our farm is approximately 6 acres, which is surrounded by trees. We are open to the public from Jun29th to August 9th, and are open daily from 10-5 , closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. We offer many handmade lavender-based products for sale. We also have a small petting zoo consisting of lambs and goats as well as rabbits, turkeys , geese, ducks and chickens. We are a family friendly farm that also offers places to have a picnic lunch and play yard games.
we will first need assistance with weeding and winter cleanup to get ready for opening in June. After opening we will need help harvesting, distilling, pruning, labeling products, cleaning up and feeding of the animals, and greeting customers.
prior to opening at 10, we will cut bundles of lavender for resale and attend to the farm animals. After that we set up the store front and get ready for customers. We personally greet every customer that arrives on the farm and explain the " you pick " process. We also assist them in the petting zoo area and direct them to the yard games. After that, we answer any questions regarding planting and maintenance of their own lavender plants and show them our products that we feature in the store. We would also like help planting and maintaining our own vegetable garden. At the end of the day assistance is needed to feed the farm animals.
Typical work week is Monday and Tuesday off
Wed-Sunday 10-3, then again for a half hour at 5 to help with farm animals.
