WWOOF USA is the national organization helping to create local WWOOFing opportunities in the USA and to promote sustainable farming as a lifestyle.

Mark and Kate were such generous, kind hosts! I spent my time stacking wood (and learning about heating a home with wood), weed whacking, learning about biochar, and doing various garden tasks. I had such fun throwing pottery with Mark and making wool slippers with Kate. Accommodations were incredibly comfortable and food was plentiful and delicious. Make sure that you do lots of swimming if you have the good fortune of staying at Meadowview!

My experience with David Hunter at Kismet Gardens was wonderful. David included me in every activity related to his native plant project and with farmers markets and with preparations for the fall school term at the school where he teaches and with his special conservation project of building a snowshoe hare brush pile. I especially appreciated David's inclusion of me in the agreed upon two meals a day where he planned the menus around organic foods that I could eat and then prepared very good meals. He paid to allow me to experience a hand cranked sewing machine at two friends' shop. I made a large cotton cloth shopping bag. David introduced me to neighbors, colleagues at farmers markets and at school and I was enabled to help in various ways to meet various needs. My accommodations were great, a RV/trailer with a large refrigerator with freezer and an inside bathroom. I liked the outside shower feature of the RV. I was nice to breath air 24 hours a day that was not compromised by herbicide drift! I wish other woofers, who stay at Kismet Gardens, similar satisfactory experiences that I had. My best to David, Paul Lehmann, Fayette, Missouri

Really grateful for having his as my first wwoofing experience! My hosts were generous with their knowledge, the accommodations were spacious and comfortable, and I enjoyed eating lots of veggies I picked on the farm, as well as having everything I needed to cook my own meals provided. Tasks/learning experiences during my 3 week July/August stay included: alpaca/llama/ chicken/ rooster/ cat care and feeding, harvesting, weeding, mucking stalls, baking, canning, candy making and learning to drive the tractor. My stay included working the Mt. Mitchel craft fair (first Friday/Saturday each August) and I was advised early on that it would be 'intense', which was accurate! Fair week hours were much longer than my previous ones. Prepping for and working the fair was both exhausting and enjoyable. Wonderful stay.

Cheryl is super cool. I came for a day visit around 9:30am and left around 5:30pm. We shared a lot of good stories, and she has a beautiful property. I was fed breakfast lunch and dinner, all super nutritious yummy meals. During the day we cut and solarized multiple honeysuckle shrubs. I cut back tons of elm, other shrubs, and plants around the property. I removed all the thistle I could find out back. I had a great day. Mira the cat and Willow the dog were very sweet distractions! Thanks for having me.

WWOFFing at the Bodhi was a magical experience to say the least. The emphasis on community building, work flexibility, and self-care were integral to the daily happenings at the Center. From weeding in the gardens, to watering the various plants, to taking care of the grounds, to helping with meals-- there was basically a guarantee of finding a task that intrigued you and was within your capacity to complete during the working hours. And outside working hours, spiritual and personal growth were cultivated through growing relationships with other members of the community and enjoying the natural beauty of the Bodhi, Jemez Springs, and the greater New Mexico area. If you are looking for a place to learn about gardening, Buddhism, or yourself-- the Bodhi is the place for you. Thank you to the wonderful team of people I met here, our camaraderie is something I will cherish for a long time.

Kathy and Martha were very quick to respond and consistently kind and generous hosts. The farm and house felt welcoming and peaceful, and the rooms were comfortable and thoughtfully prepared. Expectations around work and boundaries were clear, and they created a very respectful, low‑drama community atmosphere. They were also patient and understanding when I needed to leave early for medical reasons, which I appreciated a lot. I would gladly recommend staying with them!

We had a wonderful time woofing at Angela’s organic. We loved eating the fresh grapes and vegetables straight from the garden everything tasted so fresh. We helped out with weeding and enjoyed meeting their family. Wishing them all the very best on their move and for their mission work ahead!

Karen's Farm is literally heaven on earth! The work is fair and not limited to just what she needs. I found myself helping with lavender inside and even getting to cook some meals! August definitely isn't a busy season but Karen made sure that I could ask anything I could think of learning that we might have missed. I will definitely be coming back

While my time at Curly Creek was short, it was one of the most magical and wonderful weeks of my life. Pete is a kind and thoughtful host. He made me and my fellow first-time WWOOFer feel very comfortable and safe. The yurt is super cozy and if you have the opportunity, a future WWOOFer should absolutely get creative in the kitchen (moose shakshouka!?) We spent most of our farm time harvesting raspberries and weeding, but we also had plenty of time to explore the area (think mountain lakes, waterfalls, more lakes!) My time with Pete was truly wonderful and filled with laughter, music (country roads…), poetry (ask Pete to recite some poems!), and art! Could not recommend a stay with Pete more!
