The family was kind and supportive. The farm provides the opportunity for a wide variety of small farm opportunities depending on your interest. Bud & Sarah were always open to input and sharing their experiences and knowledge. I will be back in a heartbeat if I can schedule it into another trip. Thank you!

My stay at Camp Hurni was truly an unforgettable experience. Michelle and George were incredibly kind, welcoming, and generous from the moment I arrived. They made me feel right at home and were always happy to share their knowledge about the tree farm and the surrounding area. I was amazed by how much I was able to see and do during my stay. It genuinely was the best time! Not to mention, it's clear how much care they put into creating such a special place. I can't recommend Camp Hurni highly enough. If you're looking for a WWOOF experience with wonderful hosts, meaningful work, and a magical setting, this is it. I'm so grateful for my time there and look forward to keeping in touch with Michelle and George.

Me and my friend Liv had one of our most life-changing summers at Katie’s farm in Honokka. Katie is one of the most compassionate, curious, lively and thoughtful humans we’ve met. She is such an inspiration to the both of us. We spent the past 3 weeks working on banana trees, tea plants, taro and so many beautiful parts/plants of the farm. It didn’t feel like “work” because we were always collaborative and we were making a real beautiful difference. I will never forget the first two days getting rained on by banana tree juice, it was incredible. Katie and Tiger’s doves, chickens, cats, and Enzo the beautiful doggy were some highlights of our time there. We didn’t know what to expect at first, but we were nothing but blessed to have met Katie and Tiger for our first wwoofing experience. Katie and Tiger would have spontaneous plans and we would tag along. We volunteered at a Buddhist temple/soup kitchen every Friday which filled my heart. We both have grown so much over 3 weeks, the peace of working on a farm and doing mundane activities has disciplined us both. Katie is a very patient and educational person, she always makes sure to take her time explaining things, and never rushes us. She always reminded us to hydrate and take breaks. It was so rewarding to be able to make a difference in this bea...

Dayna and Nick were wonderful hosts! Very friendly, easy to talk to, and made me feel right at home. The accommodations were very comfortable. Some activities included clearing buckthorn with clippers and loppers while learning about native plants, seeding patches in the forest and learning about Silviculture, and learning how to split wood! Thank you Dayna and Nick for an awesome adventure! :)

I absolutely loved staying at Weiser River Ranch. Jamie and David are super sweet and hospitable, and they are located in a beautiful area. I really enjoyed taking care of the sheep, and doing my daily tasks. The dogs are very cute and friendly too. I met some great people at the farmers markets and through everyday life in Council. Living here for a month was the best experience of my summer. I was very sad when I had to leave, but I am definitely looking forward to my next visit :)

Our time at Hogstead was an incredible full-circle farming experience that we’ll never forget. We helped with animal care and witnessed piglets being born. We learned an understanding of the entire process of bringing pork from pasture to market. Luke’s commitment to responsible, ethical farming is inspiring. He truly utilizes every part of the animal so that nothing goes to waste. Pig skins, bones, and even manure all have a purpose, creating a sustainable system that respects the animals and the land. His pastured-raised pork is some of the best we’ve ever had, and the variety of handmade sausages, along with the expertly smoked bacon and ham hocks, are exceptional. Michelle does an outstanding job managing the gardens and greenhouse. Her knowledge of crop rotation, soil health, and unique vegetable varieties provides the community with an amazing abundance of fresh, diverse produce. During our stay, we also cared for laying hens and meat chickens, learned about daily farm operations, and gained a much deeper appreciation for what it takes to produce high-quality food in a sustainable way. If you’re looking for a genuine hands-on farm experience where you’ll learn, work hard, and leave with a new appreciation for regenerative agriculture, we can’t recommend Hogstead enough. We’re incredibly grateful for everything Luke and Michelle shared with us.

I had an amazing experience at this retreat center! Everyone staying there was endlessly kind and generous and I learned a lot about Buddhism in addition to hands on gardening skills. Lama Dragpa was very responsive and communicative throughout the process and by the time I left I really felt like I was a part of the community. This was my first experience WWOOFing and I can’t wait to explore more!

I spent a month at Piece of Heaven farm with Kathy and Martha. They are both wonderful, kind, and caring people. They opened their home, way of life, and community up to me. They were very reasonable in regards to workload and were always encouraging me to explore or enjoy a restful afternoon on the farm. We ate dinner together almost every night and enjoyed many shared activities. Consider yourself lucky to be able to experience a stay with Kathy and Martha.

This was my first WWOOF experience and I definitely learned a lot working with Sean at the farm. My schedule varied by day but by the end of my stay what seemed to work best was to be given actionable tasks that I could go ahead and work on on my own. I spent most days doing work solo after being taught the necessary skills by Sean. I felt pretty tired most days by the workload but keep in mind that I was there during the peak of his workload. He's pretty busy so make sure you advocate for your needs, if you do he'll respect them and work with you! Outside of the workload, the family made me feel incredibly welcome. They had access to a wide variety of high quality food items and I was able to request things that I really liked. They made sure I felt comfortable living in the cabin (which is super nice) and I had access to a car which was great! Hanging out with Sean, Marcella, or Cedar in my time off was wonderful. Finally, I had some work I had to do outside of the farm work. Sean always made sure my needs were met and that I had time to work on other commitments which was great.

Annabelle is amazing!! I spent a week at the Fool on the Hill Farm and absolutely loved my experience. Annabelle is a great host - she's very clear about her expectations, is willing to switch tasks around to make sure wwoofers aren't getting bored, is an exceptional cook, and is genuinely interested in getting to know her wwoofers and treating them like friends. Her property and the surrounding areas are also stunning. Could not recommend this place enough. If you're a dog person, she has an amazing super friendly dog as well.
