We are an organic farm located in Bethlehem, CT, located 2 hours from New York City and 2.5 hours from Boston. Located in the rolling Hills of Litchfield County the farm is easily accessed by train from NYC or Bus from Boston. The farm engages in deep organic and permaculture practices. The farm house is extremely energy efficient passive house and solar powered. Presently 3 acres are under cultivation raising organic produce for local restaurants and a healthy food store. Plans are underway to incorporate the farm into a small ecovillage. we also have an on farm airbnb. WWOOFers would work in all phases of our no till production and also have the opportunity to learn about Green Buildings and Renewable Energy. Accommodations vary but most include a private room and all include organic food, vegetarian, vegan, or gluten free meals can be provided. English and Hungarian are spoken and there is no smoking in the house. We can provide clothes and a bicycle and periodic trips to New York City. The minimum stay is two weeks, but we accept WWOOFers for the entire season. We need help beginning in April and running through November. All WWOOFers are asked to fill out a simple intern application that will be followed by a zoom interview where we have a chance to get to know one another. Organic methods: We are Organic and utilized several permaculture tactics. Certifications: Current projects: Cleaning up old greenhouse, trails around the farm and starting seedlings Internet access available

I stayed there for 4 weeks. It is an incredibly place. There's always something to do, there is river and hike for walk. I would love to go back and visit when I came back in the US. Rob and Alex were really nice host. I recommend if you want to discover organic farming or leave the city. Thank you Rob.

I stayed for two weeks and this was my first time WWOOFing. Rob, Alex and Colin were wonderful hosts! I helped weed in the greenhouses, painted a barn in preparation for an event and planted some eggplants and peppers. Rob taught me about organic farming methods, green building (he lives in a passive house) and many other aspects of the agricultural, energy, and hospitality industries. The house was welcoming and we ate most meals together. I highly recommend this farm for a WWOOFing experience. There is a high level of community present; the work is consistent and delegated well. I will miss everyone on the farm dearly.

I stayed there for 3 months (feb-may 2023), and those 3 months surely were the highlight of my year. There's always something to do, in a very pleasant way. The place is wonderful and Rob sure does know how to take care of his guests. If you are looking for a place to discover the beauty of organic farming while having a beautiful human experience, this spot is the one!

I had a wonderful time at this farm. I learned about crop rotation and cover crops. I learned about fall plantings and we planted cabbage, broccoli, basil and zucchini. I gained insight into the inner workings of ARBNB. I stayed in the Tiny House and it was great. It has A/C and electricity with twinkle lights. Rob prepared very tasty and organic meals every day. The surrounding towns of Waterbury and Bethlehem have great hist. sites and park/trails. I could not stay as long as I wanted due to family issues. Rob is a calm and kindly host and Alex is a gem.

This review is very delayed (sorry!). I stayed here for 6 months, April - October 2022 and had an amazing experience where I learned so much about organic farming and growing so many different kinds of foods. Rob was a generous host who is very knowledgeable about green energy and earth-conscious practices. The farm manager at the time, Catherine, was an incredible teacher and I felt so welcomed by everyone there. The farm itself is beautiful and I miss falling asleep to the sound of crickets at night. Walking distance from the farm is a waterfall called Nonnewaug falls which is a truly magical place. My time at this farm will have a special place in my heart forever! Thank you Rob! :)
