South of Spanish Fork, Utah, in a semi rural environment, we have 15 acres (5.85 hectares) upon which sit a gorgeous temple, a 6,000 sq foot residential facility with comfortable double rooms, two outdoor stages, a large covered pavilion, and amenities for parrots, peacocks, llamas and small cows. There is a 200,000 gallon lake with waterfall from which we gravity feed one acre under cultivation. The acreage produces chemical free tomatoes, eggplants, varieties of chilis, squash, melons, corn, cabbage, broccoli, zucchini, cucumbers, spinach, radishes, green peppers, potatoes and flowers for worship. We sponsor lots of festivals. March of 2025 we hosted the 30th annual Festival of Colors (Holi) which is the largest Color Festival in North America. A good video of the Holi Festival in Spanish Fork: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqsRFAJVN9c."" Devin Graham did one called ""World's Biggest Color Party"" (6.0 million views to date) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hh-o5g4tLVE and Goodline films another called ""Holi Festival."" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HltruTVcTYE. Other annual events are the  Krishna Janmastami in August/Sept., & Diwali, Festival of Lights in October/November. To follow us on facebook; Caru Utah or Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple (Event Venue) We teach yoga 4 evenings a week and have classes on the Bhagavad Gita 6 am and 6 pm as well as daily kirtans. These programs are optional for the guests, though the more they attend, the more they will be informed about the 5,000 year old spiritual culture and practices of ""Bhakti Yoga"". The only MANDATORY spiritual  program occurs every Sunday 5 pm - 6 pm when there is an open house with kirtan, vegetarian feast, and spiritual discourse illustrated by power point presentation. This is an extremely 'seeker friendly' weekly event and VOLUNTEERS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND.  Additionally, Agni Dev, who leads the chanting most Sundays, is a world class kirtan leader. Caru Das, the main speaker has 350,000 downloads of his podcasts from I Tunes. We ask that volunteers arrive punctually. There are a gift store on the property and salad bar with hot buffet open (11 am - 6 pm) 7 days a week. What we cannot grow in season for the buffet, we purchase organic produce at Costco. We could accommodate up to 12 single adults and couples FOR A MINIMUM STAY OF 14 DAYS. Please do not apply to stay for a shorter period than that. There is no maximum time to stay & in fact the longer the better, providing the chemistry is right. Wireless internet everywhere. We are set up mainly for singles and couples. There is a library, and common room with a large video monitor, and lots of board games. ""Lights out"" curfew in the common room @ 9:30 pm, though volunteers are welcome to then go to their rooms to chat til later. Rooms are generally private, though we cannot give any ironclad guarantee. One bathroom is shared between four rooms, and another bathroom is shared between two rooms. Volunters are responsible for keeping them clean. Llamas and dogs do not get along. Unfortunately, if you have a companion dog, we cannot approve your application. We expect 4 hours of diligent work 6 days a week in exchange for room and board. If you'd like to take two days off during any given week, we can arrange for you to work extra hours during that week. Each morning there is a daily organizational meeting/breakfast at 8:30 am. Volunteers work from 9 am until 1 pm, when there is a six course buffet lunch with salad bar. VEGAN FRIENDLY. We do not support volunteers getting part time jobs in the area while living and working on the farm. Medical or health insurance is a plus in the event of an accident. Local sights are Sundance Resort, Bridal Veil Falls, the Alpine Loop, hiking trails in Hobble Creek, Diamond Fork Hot Springs, Provo Canyon etc. Llamas are available for some treks in summer. We are the number one llama rental facility in Utah with 35 animals on the property. We are vegetarian and allow no meat, drugs, alcohol, or cigarettes on the property. If you are looking to break a smoking, drug, or alcohol habit by sojourning here, know up front we are not a rehab center. We do not take caffeinated tea or coffee and prefer that visitors go off site for consumption of these beverages. Ours is a practical path of bhakti (devotion), keeping God (Krishna) in the center of our activities. Sometimes that lends itself to peacefulness, introspection, and an educational atmosphere. Other times there is more emphasis on getting things done in a certain time frame. Sometimes we are routinely absorbed in the gardening, sustainability, and yoga, and other times we throw ourselves into a special event, tourist reception, school field trips, animal health care, weddings, etc. We grow an immense amount of organic produce & consume most of it in season, but when it comes to purchasing out of season, we do consider the prices. For purchasing organic produce, Costco is our choice. Volunteers are requested to respect the spiritual atmosphere of peacefulness and self control, which can be disrupted by immodest dress, public groping (friendly hugs fine). Bare shoulders and shorts for outdoor work are fine, however.

Working in the gardens at this temple was such a peaceful and uplifting experience. The energy of the place, the people, and the plants made it all feel meaningful. I learned so much about organic gardening and conscious living while being surrounded by kindness and devotion. Truly a beautiful environment to work, learn, and grow.

Charu and Vai have built an amazing place and radio station to worship Krishna God. Now more than ever Krishna Conciousness can help humanity build loving community that gives people what I believe they are searching for so much and that's devotion love and community. I had the pleasure of working with Johnathan in gardening for most of my stay and I had so much fun with Namamrta Das dancing and worshiping Krishna. On Sunday feast I was so inspired by Charus speech on his life story how he became a force for positivity and devotion to God Krishna. Thruout my 2 weeks i was questioning if this was the right fit for me in the long term community I wanted to serve and was met by so much love and positive reflection to stay and learn more about Krishna. Im really glad I did and will be continuing watching all of Charu's lectures i find on line and completing all the amazing books I bought. My favorite part of the expiririence was Churu speech, dancing downtown and all the love i got from the devotees who really wanted me to stay. This i believe is a necessary expiririence for all to have and if it was possible for people to get involved who can cary the torch with Charu and Vai and expand Krishna Conciousness reach as this i believe will really help the world to heal. Also I must note that the food was absoulute amazing and I got time to enjoy cooking many vegetarian meals garden and feed the lamas. This is the sustainable way of living for the mind body & spiritual. Gratitude!

Spent a month here for my first WWOOFing experience, and it was a great choice for me. We were mostly encouraged to self-select work areas as long as all the needed tasks were covered. I got to work in a variety of capacities across my stay – kitchen, gardens, tending llamas/peacocks, and other tasks. I enjoyed the mix greatly, as well as serving with different staff, devotees, and, of course, my amazing fellow WWOOFERs & WorkAwayers. A willingness to clarify how things need to be done while also being a bit self-directed during your work day are helpful here. There’s always plenty to do if you’re motivated to keep busy. Accommodations were basic but more than adequate, with linens provided. (Do bring a water bottle so you can refill with tasty filtered water. Cabin water can be off-putting.) Sunrise and sunset views were spectacular. The buffet was consistently delicious and nourishing, made even better by the company of fellow volunteers around the table. Access to yoga classes was fabulous - a few ended up as private sessions. While I mostly chose to keep to myself in the evenings, playing games with others in the cabin was a lot of fun. The required Sunday evening religious services were welcoming and uplifting, with guests allowed to participate as much or as little as they wished. Overall, it was a wonderful WWOOF for me, and I am grateful for the experience, as well as for the tremendous service and devotion poured into this place over the years by Vai and Caru.

I had a wonderful two week stay here. Everyone I met there was very kind, interesting and welcoming. I'm so happy I went there and was given an opportunity to partake, or simply observe, in ceremonies without pressure or feeling like an intruder. It's a magnificent culture and I will look forward to returning in the future. Thank you Charu and Vai, along with everyone else who made my stay so special!

This is such a unique place for a WWOOF experience! The Krishna Temple has a fully operational farm with lots of work to do. The leadership (Vai and Caru) are very open to letting you learn new skills and to utilize the ones you bring to the table. It can be a particularly good fit if you are interested in working with llamas (they were the light of my life!), peacocks (they are free range and a lot of work, so loving birds would definitely be a plus if you choose to come for a visit), and parrots (again, bird loving is a plus). Other areas of work include the gardens which produce food for the people who live on site and for the in-house restaurant and interacting with the public who visit the temple. As it is a spiritual community as well as a farm, it provides other unique offerings such as 4x a week yoga and access to their classes if you are interested. I initially came for 2 weeks and stayed for 8 months, so I think it’s safe to say there were many things about my experience there I will always treasure.
