I had a great time with Hawk and Ayal! They're both generous, gracious, and so full of wisdom. Hawk was a very kind and patient teacher who clearly communicated instructions and readily answered any questions I had. He made an effort to explain the significance of the work we were doing, so it always felt meaningful, and I consistently walked away knowing more than I had before. He made each day's work fly by with his hilarious collection of stories. Ayal is an amazing cook and an even better listener. She genuinely cares about people and always seems to know just what to say. My time spent here was the perfect mixture of relationship building and education, which is what wwoofing is all about, in my opinion. Thank you both for everything! You truly made my time spent on your land feel so special.

I spent a lovely morning here last spring. I live in the area, and was just looking to get some gardening experience with some experienced homesteaders, and just find something fun to do on a Saturday. Hawk and Ayal are very kind and knowledgeable people with a ridiculously beautiful property. Hawk and I worked in their garden, and he shared so much knowledge with me in just a day about how he gardens, and his philosophy for tending the land. Ayal made a delicious lunch. This is what WWOOF is about for me -- meeting new people and learning from them, spending time with the land, getting your hands dirty. Whether you're coming for a week or two, or just a morning, I highly recommend this homestead.

Friendly, safe, educational, and beautiful! Hawk and Ayal, are two of the most wonderful people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. They’re kind, knowledgeable, patient, warm, and lovely. I feel like I’m leaving this experience with 2 friends for life. If I could leave a 11 out of 10 review I would. I cannot recommend this experience enough! On top of the hosts being wonderful, this homestead (and property), is the most striking place I’ve ever been. Also to note, the sleeping accommodations were incredibly comfortable, clean and beautiful. With much love, Julia

I had no expectations around my visit - and still this place exceeded them :) This property and these hosts created one of the most profound experiences of my life! Hawk and Ayal are two of the most knowledgable humans I've ever met. I could spend a lifetime absorbing what they have to teach! They are so caring and compassionate, and welcomed me into their home as if I were family. The land is incredibly healing. The location is private and protected from any and all outside noise/energies, providing a true sanctuary and space for growth. Anyone who is lucky enough to visit this place is lucky enough!!

My time here I will definitely be carrying with me warmly into my future. Hawk was a patient and encouraging mentor, he helped me slow down and think in times where I felt the need to rush, I learned a lot of patience throughout our days. I started learning about forest conservation through our land clean ups, and I've been continuing to learn more about it since I left and take the practices with me in my own daily life, I am very grateful for his knowledge. The land is stunning and thoughtfully taken care of, a great inspiration for anyone who'd like to own their own land and work in tandem with it. My living quarters and rest time were respected greatly and I was fed delicious warm meals throughout the day. me and Ayal shared recipes and traded ideas, many I have been making at home myself since. On one of the days they welcomed my boyfriend to come visit and we built a fence from wood me and Hawk harvested the day before, and its now something I feel confident doing myself! I was also able to use the bark from that wood for my own tannin for hides, further bonding over our shared appreciation for utilizing the land. Many important and meaningful conversations were had and I genuinely felt at ease from the first day I got there. I don't live too far so I will be coming back for sure! thank you so much Hawk and Ayal for your respect and sharing your home with me. I think of you both very fondly:)

Absolutely loved it here. Hawk and Ayal are the kindest people. They really went above and beyond to make me feel welcome in their space. I learned so much about homesteading and the daily work it requires. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to learn more about homesteading.
