We are accepting inquiries for the upcoming season and will start hosting again in April/May. We have immediate availability and also several spots open during the growing season. We have immediate availability for people who want to come to the farm and Day wwoof. We asked for 3 hours have a good meal together and then send you home with lots of veggies and farm preserves! So if you are local and interested feel free to contact us! We are located 12 miles outside of Corvallis OR in the Willamette Valley. We are 50 minutes from the coast and an hour from the cascades. Mary's Peak, the highest peak in the coast range, is within a 20-30 minute drive for hiking. There are other trail systems on private forest land within a few minutes drive for nearby hiking or trail running. We are completely open and accepting inquiries for the coming season. We have an 8 acre property with an oak/fir forest, fruit trees, 2 greenhouses, and veggie gardens. This year we are planning on raising two hogs for meat as well as chickens for meat. We will be butchering our meat Chickens in May this year. We grow mostly on a home scale, but also occasionally sell some produce through our friend's farms. We have a close relationship with a nearby farm where we often do work exchange in trade for goat dairy and there are opportunities at that farm to learn about goats and rabbits. We've been here for about 12 years and have installed 2 greenhouses, an outdoor solar shower, micro irrigation systems for the orchard, planted various fruit trees and many other trees, created swales and a pond, put in several rain catchment tanks, a series of trails through the forest, and remodeled two small cabins. In the coming year our projects could involve any and all of the following: growing organic fruits and veggies, food preservation, care for pigs and chickens, chicken butchering in early May, firewood processing, forest management including fuels reduction, trail building, growing shiitake mushrooms, building maintenance, and composting, among other things. We expect 20 hours per week in exchange for full room and board with organic food provided. The cabin is a private Bedroom with a separate small kitchen that is shared with both cabins. We have a seasonal solar shower, as well as a shower in our house if needed. You will have a personal compost toilet. We also are possibly open to hosting WWOOfers who have a tent or van they use for sleeping if the cabin is occupied. We are omnivores but can accommodate other diets. We generally eat one or two meals together per week alternating who makes the meals. We expect that shared meals involve helping with meal prep and clean up. We can accept a couple or one person. We work hard and enjoy having fun outdoors.  We are involved in the organic growing community and enjoy introducing WWOOFers to our friends and neighbors. Please bring sturdy work boots or shoes, a sun hat or rain coat depending on the season, mud boots may be helpful as well. Please use gray water safe soaps and shampoos, a headlamp for hands free light is very helpful too, etc. If you do not have these we may be able to provide. If you are interested in WWOOFing with us please contact us and include the following: what you are interested in learning, any dietary restrictions/allergies, and what dates you would like to come. Please be ready to provide references. After reviewing your profile and email we will contact you to schedule a phone call or farm visit if we determine it is possibly a good fit. Organic methods: organic Certifications: We use all organic practices, but are not certified because it doesn't make sense given that we are a homestead and not a market garden. Current projects: All projects vary by season. Growing organic fruits and veggies, food preservation, care for pigs and chickens, sheep care, chicken butchering in early May , firewood processing, forest management including fuels reduction, trail building, growing shiitake mushrooms, building maintenance, and composting, among other things. Internet access available in and around the cabin

I loved my stay at Bluerock Farm with Raina and Tim! The location itself is such a beautiful place, a place I will visit again and again in my head as a refuge of tranquility and solace. Tim and Raina did everything to make me feel comfortable and at home. They both included me in what was going on in their lives and gave me space to reflect and enjoy my own space. Raina is a tremendous cook and I very much so enjoyed the meals we shared together (including several types of splendid homemade ice cream). The space for WWOOFers is incredibly comfortable. They make sure the WWOOFer kitchen is well stocked with food and asked me frequently what I needed (they are self-described 'food pushers' --in the best way possible!). I was able to make delicious curries, taco's, and stir fry's using fresh farm vegetables, meat, and spices. They were both incredibly gracious in sharing their knowledge with me. This was my first WWOOFing experience and they took the time to talk to me about the systems of the farm, how to care for different plants (umm, watering lessons for me :/ ), and their experience on other farms. They are giving people, with a heart for sharing knowledge, food, and their love for life. My stay at Bluerock was a great experience in trying out farming and I learned more than I could write. Ultimately it was a safe and welcoming place for me to test my comfort zone and learn new things. I am incredibly grateful to Raina and Tim!

Raina and Tim are a great down-to-earth couple and have a beautiful, cozy farm. They are so generous and kind! I’ve really enjoyed day-WWOOFing for them and learning about crop rotation, grape and blackberry pruning, fruit tree maintenance, recycling organic material, and more.

I absolutely loved my time at this farm. Tim and Raina have created such a beautiful, welcoming property that's so full of life, gardens, and good energy. I helped feed the pigs, harvested mushrooms from inoculated logs, grapes for juice, tomatoes for sauce, and basil for pesto. Helping to dig out their pond was a great little workout mixed in with fun, slower garden tasks I even got to join a gathering of neighbors using an old-fashioned apple press to make fresh juice, with homemade pizza and pie to top it off. The little cabin was perfect! Cozy, private, and surrounded by serenity. I appreciated the personal composting toilet setup. It was clean and super easy to use. Raina and Tim welcomed both me and my pup, Lucy, right away. She had the best time playing with their dog Otis and exploring the property. The shared meals were delicious and the company, wonderful. I really appreciated being included at their table or having the option to cook something in the WWOOFer kitchen and chill on my own in the evenings. This was my first WWOOF stay, and it set the bar high. I left this farm feeling inspired, fulfilled, and grateful. 100% recommend!

Such a lovely experience. Tim and Raina were wonderful and welcoming. I learned so much from them and their farm and they were patient and great with me as a first time WWOOFer. I also had so much faith and love in humanity restored, as they shared their home, knowledge, food, and community with me.

This was the most whimsical place I have ever been. It is evident that Raina and Tim put a lot of love and dedication into their farm. The main things I got out of my short time there were sustainable practices and how to attend to farm animals. I felt more connected to Earth than I have in a long while and it was a good reminder to treat it with kindness. I plan to implement some of the sustainable practices I learned into my life including water conservation and reducing food waste. Jarring and dehydrating foods is something I’m excited to try out. Thank you Raina and Tim!

I had a wonderful two-week stay and only wish it could’ve been longer. The accommodations were ideal and Tim and Raina made sure I had everything I needed. Their farm is full of life, with diverse crops and a strong focus on sustainability. Tim and Raina were genuinely interested in my learned and taught me about their growing, harvesting and food preservation practices. As former WWOOFers themselves, they truly understand how to create a meaningful and welcoming experience. I’m grateful for the time I had at this farm and look forward to returning!
