USDA Certified Organic strawberry and sugar-snap pea farm
Idaho
We are USDA Certified Organic, big in strawberries and sugar-snap peas. We plant February to May, our production is May to November. We are mostly-vegetarian, Christian, moral activists. We have a separate home for guests with full accommodations. About 60% of our sales are u-pick. We are close to the mountains, the Snake and Payette Rivers. The Boise airport is about 50 minutes away. We treat our guests like family and we are looking for future partners in farming. We do not work on Sunday, we attend church- non-denominational. Most churches are businesses, which we believe is offensive to God. If you follow your conscience, you will feel at home with us. Visit for any length of time from February to November for farm work, or even winter- just to visit. Feel free to call us with any questions. Thanks for being interested in good food, the environment and all truth. Our farm has some of the cleanest water and soil in the Mountain West.
Organic methods: We use Lacewings and Minute Pirate bugs to control aphids and other fruit destroying insects.
Certifications: Idaho Department of Agriculture- Organic Division

Delicious organic strawberries! That's a good way to describe our time at Pro-Life Organics. We got to eat yummy strawberries to our heart's content. It also involved a lot of work, mostly weeding. We harvested and sold some strawberries and also planted a giant row of sugar snaps for fall harvest. They mostly offer u-pick now, but you get to go behind the scenes and learn on a for-profit farm.
Pro-Life and Kirsten are some of the most kind and caring people you'll ever meet. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. They are experts in their field and are more than willing to teach you the specifics (eg. best drip irrigation practices). Overall it was a great learning experience.

Rarely do you get to meet people like Pro-Life and Kirsten. Love, empathy, generosity and sincerity manifest from the spiritual and compose their physical beings. They are determined seekers and proliferators of truth, justice and purity who do not compromise or settle for less. They are highly experienced, highly efficient farmers who work hard, know how to make hard work easy, and truly want to help people and make the world a better place. If you stay here, you will learn how to run a profitable, bountiful small-scale farm and enjoy plenty of delicious, organic strawberries and peas. You will get to enjoy the peace and serenity of the beautiful countryside and experience the joy of the many families and smiling, fresh faces that come to fill up their baskets of fruit in the fields. You will have the chance to take trips to the mountains and visit neighboring towns. I hope you come to visit the farm. Pro-Life and Kirsten would appreciate another hand or two, and they will provide you with all the time and resources you need. I had a spacious home to stay in with everything I could need in it and even a car to borrow. If you enjoy simplicity, purity and good people, you will value your time here and probably be welcomed to stay for a long time. If I could have, I would have stayed longer.
Thank you guys. Grace and peace to you. See you next time.

Wonderful hard working honest people. I enjoyed working side by side and learning from their many years of experience. If you are a honest person and hard worker you will greatly enjoy your wwoofing on this farm. I would recommend wwoofing here. Thank-you for the time on your farm. Warm wishes and blessings

I arrived on Friday at Richardson and Pro-Life showed me around the farm. Pro-Life and Kirsten made me feel at home in their house, as their 'separate structure' for wwoofers temporarily had no electricity due to a down power pole. Kirsten and I picked their luscious strawberries on Saturday for almost six hours. Sunday, with Kirstens helpful directions, I was able to explore Emmett and also enjoy the Payette river while they were at church. Although my visit was short, I thank this kind Christian couple for their hospitality and kindness to me.

I only stayed at Pro-life organics for a short time but it was a nice stay. Pro-life was eager to share his wisdom and help me on my journey any way he could. The strawberries were ripe and tasted really good! Thank you guys and God bless you!
