We have small a start up farm on the edge of Los Angeles. This is a great way to see LA because it’s very close to all the sights without the hustle and bustle of true city. We are in the space planning phase. Our farm is 20 acres, most of which are terraced gardens besides bees and a few chickens. We would be looking for help planting, digging, moving rocks, building compost/ worm bins, putting up fences, recycling materials, trimming trees, gathering brush and rocks, trail walking/ making, habitat restoration, organizing tools, helping to plant beds, setting up water systems, keeping bees, building shacks, irrigation…etc
At this time we have camping opportunities or some woofers can stay in a trailer at the property.. we have flush toilets, a communal kitchen space and outdoor bathtubs as well as an indoor shower. We have some dipping pools, a hot tub, some garden baths, and some seasonal streams. Water is a big part of our lives here in the desert. A small van or RV under 21 ft will be welcomed here with water and power hookups. there will be a some groceries available and some group meals. Our ideal candidates are people who can help plant and water and have some infrastructure and building experience. It also would be nice to have someone who likes to Orginize and play with out 2 boys ages 6 and 9 We have limited farming experience but good recourses.
