Lives change and paths diverge and so it is with the Riverside Food Forest in California! Having been here since 2017, it is time to move on to bigger and better things! From a compacted dirt lot, I leave it a nature rich environment with bounty of food still growing and expanding.
This change comes with some great new adventures and the opportunity for those truly interested in seeing a homestead grow from the wilds of nature. This time in the experience will be near the coast of North Carolina on a 1 acre forest lot!
First thing you need to know is that we're not your average farm in any sense of the words! We use a wide array of sustainable practices and incorporate strategies that you won't find at other locations. Permaculture, Back To Eden, and hundreds of Sustainable methods are used here. With many techniques created here.
Riverside was the Beta Testing Site for many of the techniques that will be used to develop the new property into a rich and very diverse environment of health and learning!

Set in the picturesque costal region of North Carolina, this wild, heavily brushed wooded 1 acre property will progressively transition into a bounty of food producing and nature encompassed paradise.
Focused on an agro-tourism format, with a Farmers Market, Backyard Nursery and commercial Moringa operation on the development schedule, this is a REAL example of what it takes to create an edible landscape and homestead. Hands-on experience here will give you a better understanding of not simply the work involved, but hundreds of techniques involved in integrating 5,000+ edible and medicinal plants successfully into a smaller space, with plenty of room for guests, backyard nursery, farmers market and Moringa operations.
Please understand, do to a lack of accommodations we are only able to host Day visits or those that are willing to camp out. If you have your own home on wheels, we are working to accommodate slightly longer stays in the near future.

- We love having visitors, both the 2 & 4 legged type. However, we do ask that they are respectful of our neighbors.
- We don't allow cigarette smoking on the property at all.
- Your 4-legged family member must be fixed and have their current shots.
- Please be ready to work when you arrive. We give a tour of what's happened up to this point, then we get to work on the next phase!
- Please bring gloves, drink container with a lid, wide brimmed hats and sunblock.
- Though we provide a meal at the end of the day, we only offer water, teas, coffee and juice throughout the day.
We hope you find these rules and suggestions helpful as you prepare to visit. Please let us know if there are any special needs or requirements and we'll see what we can do to accommodate them.
Organic methods: We use ZERO non-natural chemicals. Our focus is on Beyond Sustainable practices. Our waste products purify the water and naturally fertilizes the Earth, leaving it better and healthier than before we started.
We work on extreme biodiversity to help build healthy soil and to protect the plants that grow in it.
Certifications: Once our Moringa operation is in full production we'll be getting fully certified.
