Working with Mohammed was an incredible experience. I was really fortunate to have him as my first Wwoof experience and I will definitely be back to assist around the farm! The skills I’ve learned and the great memories of crop stop will be there for the rest of my life! Thank you again Mohammed.

For my first WWOOF experience, I wanted to stay local and this trip was such an amazing first experience! I am very grateful to Mohammed for helping me learn more about all the behind-the-scenes work that goes into preparing for the upcoming season. Mohammed is very communicative, respectful, easy to talk to, and very knowledgeable about farming. I look forward to volunteering here again!

I loved my time volunteering here! Mohammed and the team are an incredible crew. I lived/worked in Cambridge, and spent 1-2 days a week at the farm between January and July. I got to learn so much about metro area agricultural work, from prepping the greenhouse and shoveling snow to protect the high tunnel, to seeding and crop management plans. CSA shares started in May, and continue through October, and again I learned a lot about what it takes to plan, plant, harvest, prep, and bag produce so everyone can get their share. This is a great opportunity for anyone who lives in the area, and can commit to consistent time at the farm - even if it's only a few hours a week. I'm off WWOOFing abroad now, but I fully intend to keep volunteering with them when I return. Join in! You won't regret it.

Mohammed is a passionate and thoughtful farmed and teacher. I was lucky to get to spend several months with the team, and was struck by the knowledge and enthusiasm of every person I met. I'm coming away from the season with new skills and knowledge and a deeper appreciation of the work that goes into growing food! Would absolutely recommend spending time here to anyone in the area, or who is passing through.

I spent an incredible two weeks at Hannan Agro Farms and wished that I could have stayed longer. If you are in the Lincoln area (or can volunteer for the day) and are looking for a WWOOF opportunity, write to Mohammed! Mohammed and Susanna (the field manager) are preparing for a big season ahead (CSA, farmer’s market, farmstand and wholesale) and there is plenty to do and a lot of variation in the work to be done. In the two weeks that I was there we mainly prepped fields, seeded (direct and in trays), organized the sheds, pounded the posts for the deerfence, and put fabric down in- and outside the greenhouse. I worked most of the time with Susanna who runs the daily operation of the farm, Mohammed is there during the weekends. In the weekends, a lot of local volunteers came to help out and it was very nice to meet them and share in their energy and dedication. Both Mohammed and Susanna are excellent and patient teachers and take good care of you and your safety. Many laughs, interesting and varied work and incredibly nice people make this a place that you should put on your WWOOFING list. Thank you so much Mohammed and Susanna, and I hope that our paths will cross again soon!
