70 acre farm that is looking for hard working, like minded, self motivated helpers
New York
We are a 70 acre farm that is looking for hard working, like minded, self motivated helpers, to help bridge the gap between fields to farm stand.
Who we are:
We bought the farm 14 years ago and have spent much of this time building an off grid, earth ship inspired, radiant solar heated house.
We are environmentally friendly people who want to help bring fresh organically raised produce to the underserved city of Port Jervis and neighboring towns.
It is incredibly important for us to make the most environmentally perfect products possible leaving as much land for nature as possible and producing as little pollution as possible.
We would like our farm to have a U-pick, CSA and farm stand culture.
We have lots of river aces and camping, hiking and river sports on site.
What we have now:
-We have three fields.
-One is a planted 5+ acre orchard that is in its 3 year with a planting this year.
-We have 5 acres of disked road front land that we would like to have u pick berries and market garden's
- 25+100’ and 50’ raised beds
-60+ yards of compost
-Water
-My wife works in the hospital and has 3 days a week to work on the farm.
I am a science teacher/carpenter with summers that have been devoted to developing the farm.
We can offer very modest housing(two campers 38’) and perhaps some profit sharing .
We eat nearly completely off the land, you are welcome to all of that we grow and what we have at the house. We have a common dinner for who ever is on site. You can eat with the family, take a to go or decline.
Like most things, there is more here than this add lets on.

Who we are not.
We are not a Homeless shelter,
We all work hard and do our part to make the farm, our spirit and world a better place.
If you are running from demons , struggle to corporate with people or just need a place to stay, please don’t bring that here.
I say this only because my experience with woofers not that my spirit is worn out but because I want fair warning to be out there.
