We are an intentional community of 12-ish youngish people in Lebanon, New Hampshire. While the apple orchard was planted in the 70s and 80s, there are a handful of 15 year old trees, and a lot more planted in the past few years. We now boast over 140 different edible perennials, including all the major zone 4 and 5 tree fruits (peaches, pears, plums, apricots, cherries etc) and berries (blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, black raspberries, and dozens of more obscure varieties) , as well as ample space for annual veggies and flowering ornamentals. You'll be planting, pruning, grafting, splitting, transplanting, watering, weeding, thinning, soil amending, composting, and every other task that comes with keeping a large veggie garden and budding food forest thriving. Comes with a lovely large platform tent (with power and wifi) or possibly your own room (depending on availability), shared bathroom and kitchen, on site parking, etc. Your farm host has a 16-year background in experiential education and your experience is very important. We want this to be mutually beneficial and value the work, the learning, and the fun social experience. Organic methods: No-till veggie farming, permaculture holistic orcharding.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this farm! I had a truly incredible two weeks WWOOFing here. Rory is kind, patient, and an excellent teacher. While I was there, I worked on a variety of tasks – harvesting the most delicious tomatoes I’ve ever had, digging for sweet potatoes, pruning raspberry bushes, processing garlic, learning to make homemade tomato sauce and safely preserve it in jars. I also got to brush up some of my construction skills, building a fence around a garden and a shelf for the shed. And maybe best of all, I learned how to drive a tractor! Rory has a wealth of knowledge and is really excited share his perspective and teach folks new skills, which made the experience all the more informative and meaningful. The work was always manageable, and Rory made sure I had enough tasks to switch between. I worked about 20 hours per week, and I made my own schedule. Rory encouraged me to take time explore the area, too – which was very much appreciated! It was a joy to meet everyone living in this intentional community, all of whom are lovely, kind, and caring people. I absolutely loved getting to know folks, chatting in the kitchen, sharing wonderful and nourishing meals together, and playing games after dinner. I not only felt welcomed into this home as soon as I arrived, but also deeply appreciated for my efforts on the farm each and every day. I hope to return someday soon!

My granddaughter and I had a special and unique experience here while participaing in several different farm activities and projects. Our host Rory was accommodating and made sure that we were comfortable. It was especially gratifying for me to connect with the people who live here - all interesting and vibrant, both as individuals and as an intentional community. Meal preparation and conversation were dynamic and engaging. Highly recommended!!

Absolutely wonderful group of people! Very welcoming, and I felt like I fit right in after only a few days. The work is quite reasonable, though it definitely didn't seem like the priority while I was there. I learned a lot of new information on plants and gardening/farming. Lots of fun and had an awesome time with everyone. If you're looking to learn about the area, it's a great place to be. I hope to be back again:)

We spent a week on the farm and even in this short while had a transformative experience that offered an alternative way of existing and relating to each other different from the way of life we had ever experienced. Living and working at the farm was inspirational and uplifting. I wish we could have stayed longer to get to know each person on the farm better and benefit more of living in this intentional community. They are all so unique and interesting individuals. I have been impressed by the generosity and patience of everyone with us. Our hosts made a lot of efforts to make us feel welcome, and well nourished. We learned about preparing beds, planting vegetables, splitting wood, and trimming fruit trees. The farm and orchard are beautiful, the skies stunning. We hope to be back and learn more about farming.

This farm was a wonderful first-time WWOOFing experience. Great accommodations on a beautiful property with delicious shared meals. Everyone was super welcoming and willing to help me get adjusted. Rory was flexible and gave great instruction on the work that was needed to be done. This was a great experience for me to learn about intentional communities and farming. I would highly recommend staying here and working with Rory!!

I had a truly amazing time at this farm and would definitely recommend. Everyone is very warm and welcoming, I learned a ton about farming from Rory and I got to enjoy food fresh from the garden at almost every meal. I really felt like part of the community while I was there and I hope to go visit Fox run again!
