Christian co-op farm growing three market gardens & raising sheep, chickens, rabbits, etc.
South Carolina
Inquire even if it says we are booked up!! Located half an hour outside of Charlotte. We are a cooperative farm with several farmers and farm businesses on one property - myself growing vegetables and raising animals, two flower farmers, beekeepers, the list goes on. It’s a beautiful place where cooperation is how we survive the busyness of farm life. Wwoofer activities typically include feeding animals, moving chickens, sheep, and rabbits to fresh pasture, planting, light weeding, mulching, harvesting produce, and beautiful time as a farm team. Other tasks depending on your skill set may include building animal housing/fencing/other structures, occasional processing days for chickens, food preservation during warmer months, cooking or baking or freezing what we grow, painting fun murals around the farm, and more. We are passionate about our local relationships, cherish our WWOOF volunteers who often become like family, and strive to steward the land like God intended.
We enjoy spending time outdoors - there are a couple of lakes nearby for boating, a river for kayaking/floating, and lots of restaurants/city things to do. We are an equal distance from the mountains and the beach and frequently take weekend trips to enjoy them.
We periodically eat a big meal of locally grown foods together but supply ingredients, produce, and others items for meals you cook solo. We have a big freezer and storage room full of local food you can help yourself to and just ask that you’re respectful with how much you take and how often.
Housing is first come first served - There are many housing options here, but availability depends on your requested dates and circumstances. There’s a private cabin with plug in kitchen devices, there’s a full Airstream with a queen bed, a large upstairs apartment, several rooms in back hallways of the big house, etc. We value downtime and try to make all of the housing as introvert friendly as possible. All of the lodging is ours and is very nice, so we ask that wwoofers are clean and treat it with care so we can keep doing this forever!
!!! Wwoofers who plan to stay for 3+ months are given priority. We ask for 1 month+ but occasionally accept Wwoofers for shorter periods when persuaded or extra busy on the farm :)
Our gardens are strictly no-spray, no-till. Our animals are rotated to fresh pasture daily. Makes for more work sometimes but a healthier farm and life!
Must be good with spending time with kids daily. Myself and one of our flower farmers have young toddlers that hang around the farm often. We love Jesus for real. Wwoofers must be okay with occasional shooting noise, as there’s a range here.

My first WWOOF experience was with Hannah and her family, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better start to this adventure. From the very beginning, I felt welcomed and valued. Hannah is wise beyond her years and incredibly generous with her knowledge. She patiently guided me through every new task, making learning feel both empowering and exciting.
Thanks to her, I’ve fallen completely in love with WWOOFing. I learned about caring for chickens and sheep, planting, mushrooms, composting, cover crops, and so much more. It was hands-on, meaningful work that deepened my appreciation for the land.
I’m so grateful for the opportunity and already counting down the days until I’m back on her farm next month!

This was a wonderful WWOOFing experience. I ended up extending my stay because I loved it so much. As an introvert, I was a bit hesitant about living in community with others. I found this stay to be the perfect mix of social time and alone time. Hannah and Liam are very gracious and generous hosts. Their house and property are gorgeous. Cooking with Willie J was definitely a highlight of my stay. And his daily serenades of kids' songs and joyous laughter filled my heart. I enjoyed learning about sheep and being part of a couple cullings to learn animal processing. Maverick has a special place in my heart. I will always remember my time spent here.

My partner and I stayed here for four months and even extended our stay because we enjoyed it so much. The farm includes a wide variety of animals and growing projects, and we felt truly immersed in day-to-day homestead life.
Daily tasks varied depending on the needs of the farm and the season. Work included feeding and caring for sheep, laying hens, meat chickens, and rabbits, as well as harvesting produce, weeding, planting, and seedling care.
During our stay, we helped with a lamb birth, harvested meat chickens that helped feed us, assisted with building projects and repairs, planted seedlings, learned the basics of growing mushrooms and flowers, and preserved food by canning vegetables. There was always something new to learn, and the experience felt very well-rounded.
WWOOFers who are self-directed and comfortable learning through hands-on experience tend to thrive here. Much of the learning happens by doing and observing, and volunteers who enjoy taking initiative, sharing ideas, and asking questions will feel at home.
Flexibility is a part of the rhythm here, which made it possible for me to work remotely part-time and adjust hours between days as needed. Weekend responsibilities were limited to animal care, which usually took about an hour at most.
This is a truly special place with community-minded people and generous hearts. We highly recommend this host to WWOOFers looking for a meaningful, hands-on farm experience. Thank you, Hannah and Liam!

Our experience here was amazing! It was just the right fit for us. Hannah is knowledgeable, patient, gracious, and a great teacher. She gave us a ton of freedom to take initiative with the chickens and sheep. She was there to guide, but also let us fail so we could learn on our own. She is a great land steward/manager, very passionate about what she does. She is wonderful to work and collaborate with. I would recommend this farm to WWOOFers who are eager to learn and take initiative while also being a team player.

As one of WWOOF USA's 2025 Future Farmers, I selected this remarkable farm for my fellowship- it exceeded every expectation. The experience I gained working alongside Hannah and her incredible co-op of farmers was nothing short of transformative. I delved into the art of flower cultivation—learning the nuances of cutting and pricing—and acquired essential skills in animal husbandry. Two highlights from my time here stand out: crafting a chicken tractor from bamboo harvested directly from the farm and the profound experience of raising, dispatching, and processing my own meat chicken. With the unwavering support of Hannah and her husband Liam, I felt empowered and encouraged as a novice farmer, truly believing I was on my way to becoming the best first-timer imaginable! Hannah, a first-generation farmer, radiates warmth and patience, creating a welcoming atmosphere that made every moment enjoyable. The care and nourishment she provided during my stay fostered a sense of belonging that is rare to find. This farm, along with its vibrant community and co-op members, embodies the essence of friendship, family, and collective spirit. As an autistic older woman of color, I felt a profound sense of safety and acceptance here—I was free to be myself while passionately engaging in what I love. This farm, with its exceptional leadership and inclusive environment, is a true gem in the world of sustainable agriculture. Come and experience the beauty of community farming at its best!
