Please note we are only looking for WWOOFers who would like to stay 4 weeks or longer who are interested in an internship environment. We do not have a place for children or pets.
Our farm is a diversified, regenerative agriculture farm with
1. Orchards: Apple, peach, pear, plum and cherry
2. Animals: South Pole beef and Jersey dairy cows, Nigerian Dwarf goats, Idaho Pasture Pigs, ducks, guineas, herding and house dogs
3. Farm Share program: On-farm program where members come once a week to grow vegetables in community with others. For more information about our Farm Share program, please visit our website.
4. No-till vegetable production
A WWOOFer's day will involve 3 to 6 hours of farm work. It may include milking at 7 AM, feeding pigs, moving manure, moving animals to new paddocks, building and maintaining fences, pruning or thinning fruit trees, trellising berries, planting, harvesting, mulching, and/or weeding. WWOOFers will participate in seasonal tasks, which may include caring for animals, rotating livestock, cleaning stalls, participating in Farm Share, mending and building fences, irrigation, and livestock water tanks.
WWOOFers will stay in either a studio apartment or a private bedroom in the basement of our home. Both have several windows, a bathroom, and a kitchenette.
We have a small lake with a swimming dock, stand-up paddle boards, and kayaks available for use. Our farm is within one mile of two conservation areas with hiking trails, the Pierpont General Store is two miles away with snacks, a small restaurant, and live music.
WWOOFers are responsible for making their own meals. Farm-raised organic eggs, meats, milk, fruit, and produce will be provided along with food staples and a small shopping allowance.
