Hi WWOOFers,
Here at Dragon Wheels Farm we are building our first farm operation. Our focus is currently on our produce, egg and flower production. There is have a mixed herd of dairy goats and are building the commercial dairy room to start marketing cheese. The property is home to many rescue animals in a large diversity, such as peacocks, geese, turkeys, dogs, cats, llamas and many more to come.
A typical day includes fresh feed and water to all the animals, mucking out the coops and barn. Lots of play time with the farm dogs as well as trail/fencing maintenance and harvest or canning depending on the seasons needs.
We host family dinners once a week and the WWOOFers have their own furnished three bedroom house with a fully stocked kitchen.
On the property there is a small pond and a salmon stream that is lovely to enjoy in all seasons, but especially nice in a hammock during spring. We are a three minute drive to the Puget Sound with a kayak or paddle board launch, and fifteen minutes from the ferry to Seattle. We encourage visitors to explore our little community, local vineyard, other local farms and the Olalla Pizzeria all with a view of the Olympics.
