My brief stay at Angela's Organics was my first stop in 2026. I learned a number of new insights from Jeff Ward (and from Angie) as we worked together and visited beyond work. My accommodations were very nice and the meals by Angie Ward were superb. They are very respectful of wwoofers privacy and opinions and beliefs. They do a lot of preserving of the fruit from their "small" yard farm through their freeze dry equipment. They are very generous to our "neighbors in need" in their community and beyond. They are solid, fine people. One concern that I had was that herbicide was applied to the lawn without the knowledge that it does not stay where it is applied but will drift to neighboring flower and vegetable beds and into the fruit trees in the yard and will perpetually volatilize and damage some more nightly. I pointed this out to Angie and Jeff as politely as I could and think they understand this honest mistake from lies perpetuated by the conglomerate chemical companies killing our environment. Unfortunately, the Wards will not be able to host in 2027 as they are going on a 2 year service mission trip. But I would recommend wwoofers to contact them, if they decide to continue hosting after their trip. Paul Lehmann, Fayette, MO

Angie and Jeff are kind, generous, and fun to talk to. Very low pressure and a great into to fruit and vegetables. I got so many great ideas and they even sent me home with a few starter plants and goodies. The area is close to some great hiking and not to far from pineview reservoir. They provide plenty of down time to explore. Already looking at dates to go back.

It was a wonderful stay at Angela and Jeff's. I felt warmly welcomed and at home the moment I arrived. They are the kindest and most beautiful souls. Angela is an angel, and genuinely cares about you; plus she is a master cook. I loved the dinners she prepared. Jeff is so friendly and helpful. I loved working with him; he made me feel like family and I loved our conversations. I find it amazing how much produce they can get from such a small space. It is truly inspiring! I would definitely recommend stopping by at their garden. You'll be happy you did. I hope to stop by again in the future ( hopefully in the busier time of year).

Amazing experience! Angela & Jeff were kind, knowledgeable, and grow an incredible amount on just .32 acres — truly inspiring! I learned so much about small-scale gardening, composting, and sustainable living.

I had Such a great first Wwoofing experience helping out in Angela’s organic garden! Angela and Jeff, her husband, are excellent Wwoof hosts, and are so kind, pleasant, friendly, welcoming, and hospitable! And their home is so comfortable and inviting, plus the accommodations that they have for Wwoofers are great and offer you your own bedroom space and full bathroom. And, as Angela is a really wonderful cook, every single meal and dish that she prepared was scrumptious! As my four-night stay at their home occurred in October, much of the produce harvesting had already occurred. So Angela’s ask was that I mainly help with pulling up weeds around a certain portion of their garden fence. And, additionally, Jeff taught me the process for freeze drying various foods and produce, with raspberries being the specific food item that I assisted him in prepping for freeze drying. I thoroughly enjoyed Jeff’s tour of their garden, too, and was so amazed and fascinated at All of the different things they grew. And was also surprised to learn what the trees and bushes look like that different food items come from. Each morning when I was out doing my 3 or so hours of weeding, Jeff and/or Angela would generally be out tending to the garden for at least awhile during that time, as well. And we all shared lots of interesting conversation and chit chat, whether when outside working, while hanging out in the kitchen or living room, or over the nightly dinners that we shared.

I'm blown away by Angela and Jeff's incredible garden! Their coordination and teamwork are truly inspiring, and the abundance they've created in a small space is a testament to their dedication. Had the pleasure of attending a family event and playing a fun game of Krubb. Contributed with weeding harvesting & compost. Angela's tree trimming expertise and Jeff's freeze-drying skills are impressive. Their partnership is a beautiful example of collaboration and mutual support. Excited to continue learning from them and sharing local success transplants and seeds from our food forests.
