Hi! I’m Anita, 51 and loving country life in rural Utah with my fantastic hubby/partner. We’re learning the ropes of conscientious land stewardship on our little 2.4-acre farm — dreaming of turning it into a thriving meditation retreat space and viable veggie and flower haven and farm! Life on our little farm is a mix of laptops and dirt! I work part-time as an attorney and meditation coach from home, so most of our planting, chorin' and dreaming happens in the evenings and from Thursday - Sunday. We're laid-back, still learning, and loving the journey of turning this patch of land into a magical community oriented space. We eat well and both love to cook so you'll enjoy some gourmet food while you are a welcomed guest. Nourishment is key, kiddos. Have a pop-up A-Frame trailer, or 14' glamping tent for WWoofer's accommodations and we are building a large barn this summer. We’re in the peaceful countryside of Milburn, Utah, just a few miles from the mouth of stunning Fairview Canyon. It’s quiet, starry, and blissfully far from highways and city noise. On your days off, you’ll find incredible adventures close by—Lakes, scenic mountains, Diamond Fork Hot Springs is just 45 minutes away for a relaxing soak, and Moab, Arches, and other epic Southern Utah landscapes are just a few hours down the road. Whether you love hiking, hot springs, or just soaking in mountain views, there’s plenty to explore from our little slice of paradise.

This Farm was an absolute joy to visit. From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful, grounded, and beautifully cared for. The views were stunning—especially the sunsets, which made our evenings feel slow and special in the best way. But what truly made our stay unforgettable were the hosts. They were some of the most compassionate, generous people we could’ve asked for, and their warmth made it feel like more than just a trip—it felt like being welcomed into something meaningful. We also loved having gorgeous hikes nearby for our time off. There was the perfect balance of quiet farm serenity and easy access to nature, so we could reconnect both ways—wandering outside and coming back to a calm, welcoming space. We’re really glad we got to help with the farm work, too. Being able to harvest garlic and “liberate” the grapes and raspberries added such a fun, hands-on touch to the experience. Overall, we loved our visit and would happily return. This Farm feels like a peaceful retreat with heart, and we’re grateful we got to experience it.

Anita and Roger are amazing hosts! This was my first Woofer experience and they set the bar very high. I had the opportunity to plant beats, weed, water, and help with other farm-related tasks. I got to learn how to prepare rows for planting, seed the ground, and how slow-drip irrigation works. I’m brand new to farming and I had a million questions, all of which Anita was very patient and graceful to answer. The pop-up A-Frame trailer was very comfortable and has electricity. The bathroom is in the house and for me it was a quick jaunt anytime I needed it. Shower is A+++ Both Anita and Roger are incredible cooks. They made amazing meals paired with great conversation. Super kind and patient couple. Honestly, do it if you can. Five+ stars. P.S. Highly recommend that night sky.

It was a peaceful stay! I felt very welcomed by Anita and her husband, and I enjoyed working with them. There were also days I was able to do some work alone and go at my own pace. I had plenty of privacy both in the trailer and the guest bath area. The shower was spacious and the water was hot! I hope to return soon 😊

Impressed by the harmonious blend of work and relaxation. Quickly got settled. Pop-up was cozy. A full bathroom only footsteps away. Tasks included Watering, weeding, planting, harvesting, raking, composting, preserving, transplanting and beautifying. Tool shed had all the supplies and Anita was only a text or walk away. Took breaks for relaxing, biking, hot/cold plunge, and gourmet food. Enjoyed early morning waking with the roosters and getting the bulk of the work done before the winds picked up & sun peaked. Hydrated with Maple, salt water (provided). Abundance of breads, jelly’s butters and delicious meals you can create with Anita’s abundant supplies. Anita made us amazing dinners! Before leaving, stripped the bed linens, brought linens to laundry room. cleaned and left everything as originally found. Almost ready for the next volunteer. Had a great experience and recommend to others looking for a fulfilling opportunity in a peaceful setting. Made a utube video of my stay which would not post. It’s called: Volunteering (Woofing) in Milburn Utah at Zen Meditation Center. Video shows all the details from my visit September 2025 Much gratitude Anita.

My two weeks at here certainly lived up to its name! I truly had an awesome time on the property whether I was working, resting, or connecting with Anita and her husband Roger. Fact: I was their WWOOFer and they were my first Hosts, so we got to be each other's first! The communication was open when discussing the projects, daily work schedule, the living arrangement, meals, you name it. They are very approachable, kind, and considerate people. Both of them work full-time so their need for help with maintaining the property is real. The biggest items to stay on top of are: weeding and watering. You could honestly spend all your time doing that your whole stay. So, if you are someone who likes to, or can work independently, you can definitely get your Zen on! Since it was the middle of August the temperature was lows: 50-60s & highs: 80-90s F, I would get out there early to do as much as possible before it got too hot. I'd pop my earbuds in and turn on a playlist, a podcast, or just listen to all the animal sounds from the neighboring farms. Anita would come out to let me know her work schedule and to grab some coffee/tea. She does have Zoom calls during the day, so it's important to be mindful when you come into the house since it has an open floor plan. The rest of the day I would enjoy relaxing, reading, meditating in a hammock, rocking chair, on the grass or have a cold/hot soak in the metal tub enjoying the views. Find your ease and flow here!
