We are a flower farm located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina, a short distance from Mt. Mitchell. Our farm is on 100 acres of conservation land with private hiking trails and close to waterfalls like Roaring Fork Falls. Two of us live here full-time along with our well-trained dogs and 14 hens, and we enjoy a quiet, rural lifestyle close to nature. Our core project is growing specialty cut flowers and sharing them with our local community through markets and co-ops. Our farming activities focus on growing specialty cut flowers, and we run an active CSA, sell to two food COOPs in Asheville, and attend the Yancey County Farmers Market. Work may include planting, weeding, harvesting, bed prep, and post-harvest handling of flowers, as well as caring for our flock of 14 hens and participating in landscaping projects such as pruning shrubs, mulching, weed whacking, clearing brush, and planting fall perennials. In the fall, much of the work centers on bed preparation, planting, greenhouse tasks, mulching, and tidying up the farm for the next season. WWOOFers will gain hands-on experience in organic flower farming on a permaculture-designed property, learning industry best practices including harvesting, post-harvest handling, and proper storage for cut flowers. We also love to take deeper dives into specific crops, such as dahlias (including dividing tubers), snapdragons, ranunculus, anemones, tulips, and overwintering cold-hardy annuals for spring bloom. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in learning the skills and rhythms of flower farming while being part of a small, dedicated team. WWOOFers stay in a private guest cabin with a kitchen, bathroom, outdoor patio, and their own washer and dryer. We provide local seasonal produce and plenty of fresh eggs from the farm, along with pantry staples such as beans, rice, and other groceries for preparing meals. Occasional shared meals are also part of the experience. We love living close to nature and enjoy a quiet, rural lifestyle. On the farm, our dogs and hens keep us company, and we spend much of our free time outdoors. Our hobbies include cycling, hiking, cooking, watching movies, art, and music. There are private hiking trails on our land, and nearby you’ll find waterfalls like Roaring Fork Falls, swimming holes, and access to some of the most beautiful parts of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Our stay at this farm was incredibly beautiful. Liz was very generous, communicative and understanding. My partner had food poisoning and wasn’t able to show up to work for two days of the week and Liz made it completely comfortable to communitate and was flexible with the make up hours. We quickly became friends and even got to go dancing together to live music of a local band. She loves to teach and has a generous amount of knowledge about many things farm and art related , I even got to learn some photography tips :) We learned so much through the farm work, the farm manager Katie is a complete angel with 40 years of farm experience. Not only did we learn about the flowers the farm grows but about the ecosystem of the land. The Cabin was a dream, it basically felt like we were sleeping outside with mountain views and trees. We’re truly grateful for our experience💌
